Dr. Georges K. Kome
Georges Kogge Kome is a Soil Scientist and Lecturer at the National Advanced School of Public Works, Yaoundé, Cameroon. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (2010), a Master of Science in Soil Science (2016), and a Ph.D. in Soil Science (Environmental Chemistry and Soil Fertility) (2020), from the University of Dschang, Cameroon. His doctoral research investigated the factors influencing oil palm yield variability in the coastal plain soils of Cameroon, with a focus on improving soil fertility management and agricultural productivity. Dr. Kome's research focuses on the sustainable management of land resources, with particular emphasis on the impacts of land management practices on soil quality and crop productivity. His areas of expertise include soil survey and classification, land suitability evaluation, soil fertility management, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), digital soil mapping, and soil information systems. He has participated in many national and international conferences and workshops on sustainable land management and soil information systems.
Prof. Fritz O. Tabi
Fritz Oben Tabi is a professor of soil fertility and agricultural landuse planning and management in the Department of Soil Science, Faculty of Agronomy and Agricultural Sciences at the University of Dschang, Cameroon. He received his B.Sc. (Agronomy) degree in 1995, M.Sc. (Agronomy - Soil Science) degree in 1997 and Ph.D. (Soil Fertility and Land evaluation) in 2004 at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
Dr. Oben's professional experience includes field and laboratory experimental work in soil fertility, Remote sensing and soil survey, pedology, agricultural experimentation, agricultural land use planning, biostatistics, cropping systems, and climate change adaptation Modeling. He has participated in many national and international projects in soil fertility, cropping systems modeling, curriculum development, biodiversity conservation, and climate change adaptation.
