Visa Application to Enter the Czech RepublicParticipants of the Pollution and Diseases Conference 2026 may require a visa to enter the Czech Republic, depending on their citizenship and country of residence. Participants are responsible for checking the applicable visa requirements well in advance of travel and for applying through the appropriate Czech consular office or visa centre.
Official invitation letters for visa purposes may be issued upon request after the participant has completed conference registration and paid the applicable registration fee. The invitation letter is intended to support a visa application by confirming the participant’s registration and the purpose of travel. It does not imply any financial responsibility on the part of the conference organisers.The conference will take place in Prague, Czech Republic, from 15 to 17 October 2026. Participants requiring a visa should contact the relevant Czech embassy, consulate, or visa centre as early as possible to confirm the required documents and appointment availability.
How to request an invitation letterTo request an invitation letter, please contact the Conference Secretariat after completing registration and payment. Please include the following information exactly as it appears in your passport:• Full name• Date of birth• Place and country of birth• Citizenship / country that issued the passport• Passport number• Date of issue and date of expiry of the passport• Institution or professional affiliation• Participant category and registration confirmation number, if available• Planned dates of arrival and departure• Email address and telephone number• Postal address, if an original hard-copy letter is required by the embassy or consulate

In most cases, the invitation letter will be sent by email as a PDF file. If the embassy or consulate requires an original hard-copy letter, please inform the Conference Secretariat in advance. Postal or courier delivery may involve additional costs and processing time.
Important visa and passport information• A passport used for a Czech / Schengen visa application should be issued within the past 10 years, remain valid for at least three months after the intended departure from the Czech Republic / Schengen Area, and contain at least two empty pages.• A short-term Schengen visa is generally used for stays in the Czech Republic of less than 90 days, including conference participation.• Visa requirements and processing times may vary by country and consular office. Participants should consult the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and the website of the relevant Czech embassy or consulate before applying.• An invitation letter from the conference organisers serves as proof of the purpose of travel only. Applicants may still need to provide additional supporting documents, such as accommodation, financial means, return travel information, travel medical insurance, and other documents required by the relevant consular office.
