War, Soil, and Freshwater Systems. Conference Prague, 15–17 October 2026
Registration and Fees
War, Soil, and Freshwater Systems Conference 2026 Prague, 15–17 October 2026
Registration is required for all participants of the Pollution and Diseases Conference 2026, including on-site participants, online participants, presenting authors, poster and e-poster presenters, institutional participants, observers, and invited guests.
The conference is designed as a focused, high-level scientific event. On-site participation in Prague is intentionally limited in order to maintain a concentrated academic environment and allow meaningful scientific discussion. Online participation remains open to a broad international audience.
The conference is organized as a high-impact, non-profit scientific initiative. Registration fees are calibrated to support the quality of the event, the accessibility of participation, the preparation of conference materials, and the long-term preservation of accepted conference outputs.
Participation formats
Participants may register for one of the following participation formats.
Online participation
Online participation provides access to the scientific programme from anywhere in the world.
Online participants receive access to:
- available live online sessions;- available session recordings;- conference materials provided through the participant platform;- e-poster and presentation materials where access is provided;- conference discussion outputs and working materials made available to registered participants.
Online participation is suitable for researchers, institutional participants, and professionals who cannot travel to Prague or who are joining the conference from different regions and time zones.
Registered online and on-site participants receive access to the same core scientific content. On-site participation provides additional in-person networking, direct discussion, and venue-based engagement.
On-site participation in Prague
On-site participation provides access to the conference venue in Prague, in-person sessions, expert discussions, networking opportunities, and the full participant materials platform.
On-site attendance is limited to a maximum of 50 scientific participants.
Places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Early registration is strongly recommended. Early registration may close before the announced deadline if the on-site capacity is reached.
Presenting authors
At least one presenting author must complete official registration for each accepted contribution.
An accepted abstract or presentation becomes part of the official conference programme only after the presenting participant has completed registration.
Official registration means that the applicable registration fee has been paid and received.
If registration is not completed by the required deadline, the accepted contribution may be removed from the programme and may not receive a DOI.
Poster and e-poster presenters
Poster and e-poster presenters must register for the conference after their contribution has been accepted.
Poster and e-poster presenters may participate online or on-site, depending on the format approved by the organizers and the availability of on-site places.
Accepted poster and e-poster records are included in the official conference record after confirmed registration of the presenting participant.
Institutional participants and observers
Representatives of research institutions, universities, foundations, international organizations, public bodies, NGOs, partner initiatives, and related professional communities may register as institutional participants or observers.
Their participation is coordinated by the organizers and is intended to support scientific exchange, project development, institutional cooperation, and future research collaboration.
Institutional participation does not influence the scientific selection of abstracts, presentations, posters, e-posters, publications, or DOI assignment.
On-site institutional participation is subject to organizational and venue capacity. The organizers may coordinate institutional attendance separately where this is necessary for the structure of the event.
Registration fees
Participation category | Fee | Notes |● Online participation | €99 | Full online access to the scientific programme, available recordings, conference materials, and participant platform● On-site participation — early registration | €200 | Available until 1 August 2026 or until on-site capacity is reached |● On-site participation — standard registration | €280 | Applies after the early registration period, subject to availability |● Reduced on-site fee | €140 | Available for eligible participants from Global South countries, subject to confirmation by the organizers |
All fees are listed in EUR.
Poster and e-poster presenters who participate online follow the online participation fee.
On-site places are limited. Payment alone does not override the on-site capacity limit if the venue has already reached its confirmed participant capacity.
What the registration fee includes
The registration fee includes:
- participation in the conference according to the selected format;- access to the scientific programme;- access to available conference recordings and materials through the participant platform;- participation in online or on-site discussions according to the selected format;- access to conference discussion outputs and working materials where applicable;- inclusion of accepted and registered contributions in the official conference record;- publication of accepted conference abstracts and presentation records for registered presenting authors;- DOI assignment for accepted abstracts and presentation records after acceptance and confirmed registration;- access to e-poster materials and presentation records where available.
DOI assignment
The Pollution and Diseases publishing system registers DOIs through Crossref under the prefix:
**10.66659**
The DOI prefix remains unchanged.
The DOI suffix is generated automatically by the publishing system. It is not created manually by authors, editors, conference participants, or the organizing team.
DOIs are not assigned at the moment of submission.
DOIs are assigned only after:
1. the abstract or presentation record has been accepted;2. the presenting participant has completed official registration;3. the applicable registration fee has been paid and received;4. the official DOI landing page and metadata record have been prepared.
DOI records are assigned to accepted conference abstracts and to all accepted presentation types, including:
- plenary presentations;- oral/session presentations;- poster presentations;- e-poster presentations.
DOIs are not assigned to:
- submissions that are not accepted;- accepted contributions without confirmed registration;- unpaid or incomplete registrations;- withdrawn contributions;- duplicate records;- draft or incomplete materials.
Publication and registration
The registration fee covers conference publication outputs for accepted and registered contributions.
This includes accepted conference abstracts, presentation records, poster records, e-poster records, DOI landing pages, bibliographic metadata, and citation information.
Registration does not automatically include publication of a full journal article, book chapter, monograph, or post-conference book contribution.
Authors who wish to develop their conference contribution into a full journal article, book chapter, or post-conference volume contribution may do so through the relevant Pollution and Diseases publication route.
Additional editorial review, peer review, revision, formatting, and final approval may apply.
Acceptance for the conference and registration as a participant do not guarantee acceptance as a journal article, book chapter, monograph, or post-conference book contribution.
Journal articles and book publications
Conference abstracts and presentation records are official conference outputs.
Full journal articles, book chapters, edited volume contributions, monographs, and post-conference book chapters are separate publication routes.
These publication routes may require:
- a separate manuscript submission;- editorial screening;- peer review or editorial review;- revision;- formatting according to the relevant publication requirements;- final editorial approval.
Where a conference contribution is later expanded into a full journal article or book chapter, the later publication should cite the original conference abstract or presentation record where appropriate.
A DOI assigned to a conference abstract or presentation record is not the same as a DOI assigned to a later full journal article, book chapter, or book publication.
Access to materials
Conference recordings, slides, working files, presentation materials, and discussion outputs are made available to registered participants through the conference access system.
These materials are not generally distributed publicly.
A DOI landing page and citation metadata may be public, while full presentation files, recordings, slides, poster files, and working materials may remain restricted to registered participants unless public access is approved by the authors and the organizers.
What is not included
The registration fee does not include:
- travel to Prague;- accommodation;- visa costs;- health or travel insurance;- meals, unless explicitly announced by the organizers;- personal expenses;- automatic publication as a full journal article;- automatic inclusion in the post-conference book;- automatic publication of a book chapter or monograph;- publication fees for publication routes that are separate from the official conference output, unless a specific written arrangement has been confirmed by the editors or organizers.
Participants are responsible for arranging their own travel, accommodation, visa documentation where required, insurance, and personal expenses.
