War, Soil, and Freshwater Systems. Conference Prague, 15–17 October 2026
Conference participants may develop their conference contribution into a full journal article for submission to Pollution and Diseases.
This is an optional publication route for authors who wish to expand an abstract, presentation, poster, or discussion contribution into a complete scholarly paper.
Conference acceptance and journal acceptance
Acceptance of an abstract or presentation for the conference does not automatically mean acceptance as a journal article.
Journal manuscripts follow a separate editorial process, including:
- editorial screening;- peer review;- revision where required;- final editorial decision;- production and publication.
Only manuscripts that successfully complete the journal’s editorial process are published as journal articles.
Suitable journal submissions
A conference contribution may be developed into:
- an original research article;- a review article;- a methodological paper;- a case study;- a discussion paper;- an analytical essay;- a policy-relevant scientific contribution.
Authors are encouraged to expand their conference materials with fuller methodology, evidence, references, analysis, figures, tables, and conclusions before submitting a journal manuscript.
DOI and citation
Published journal articles receive DOI records through the Pollution and Diseases publishing system.
The DOI prefix is:
**10.66659**
The DOI suffix is generated automatically by the publishing system.
A DOI assigned to a conference abstract or presentation record is not the same as a DOI assigned to a later full journal article.
If a full article is based on a conference presentation, the article should cite the original conference abstract or presentation record where appropriate.
Fees and waivers
Conference registration covers accepted conference abstracts and presentation records for registered presenting authors.
Full journal articles follow the journal’s publication policy unless a specific conference-related waiver or publication arrangement has been confirmed by the editors.
Authors should consult the journal’s current publication policy before submitting a full manuscript.
